Question 18: Terrorism, an issue dating back to 1500, is a current event that is still troubling many countries today. From 9/11 to Suicide Bombings, terrorism breaks peace and destroys lives of many innocent people. What are the causes of this worldwide scourge?

Many groups resort to terrorism when they feel that religious-political authority has deprived them their rights which they consider extremely significant, but are unable to accomplish by negotiation or peaceful approaches.
b. Terrorism is caused simply by the terrorists. Terrorists are full of hate and violence and have issues with presenting proper arguments. These terrorists grew up being taught that they were doing the right thing for their country, believing that they were being loyal to their religion.
c. . Terrorist attacks are used to make a statement that will grab the media’s attention. Terrorists desire attention and a chance to show the world that their beliefs are correct, and everyone else is incorrect. They need other people to fear them and consider their ideas. Most terrorist attacks are driven by religious differences and when one feels helpless against an overly powerful force or government. Lastly, one huge aspect of terrorism is ignorance and stupidity.
